OOTD (“OOTD”, “we”, “us”) makes an AI try-on app that lets you see clothing on a photo of yourself before you buy. This policy explains what personal data we collect, why, how we protect it, and the choices and rights you have. We keep it plain and we collect only what the product needs.
OOTD operates the OOTD mobile app and the website at try-ootd.com. For any privacy question or request, contact us at privacy@try-ootd.com.
Your name and email address, and — only if you choose to give them — details such as gender, age range, location, style preferences, why you’re interested, and a phone number. We also record whether you opted in to launch and newsletter emails, and any referral code used.
Our legal bases are your consent (e.g. joining the waitlist, uploading a photo, marketing emails), performance of a contract (providing the app you signed up for), and our legitimate interests in running and securing the product.
To render a garment onto your photo, your image and the selected garment image are sent to our AI try-on processor, FASHN AI, which returns the generated result. They process this data on our behalf to provide the try-on and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We share the minimum needed to produce your result.
We share personal data only with:
We keep your data for as long as your account or waitlist entry is active, and only as long as needed for the purposes above or to meet legal requirements. When you delete your account, we delete your photos, closet, and try-on images and remove or anonymise associated records, except where we must retain limited data by law.
You can ask us to:
In the app you can delete your account and data directly; you can also email privacy@try-ootd.com and we’ll action your request. To leave the waitlist, use the unsubscribe link in any email or contact us.
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), access controls, and other safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information and to respond promptly to any incident.
Some of our processors may store or process data outside your country. Where that happens, we take steps so your data stays protected to a comparable standard.
OOTD is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we’ll delete it.
We may update this policy as the product evolves. We’ll revise the “last updated” date above and, for material changes, give notice in the app or by email.
